Kayak Rentals

For kayak rentals at a wilderness outfitter located on Lac Itomamo in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region, choose POURVOIRIE HOMAMO. Kayak, paddle board, and rowboat rentals are FREE with your trout fishing or moose, black bear, or small game hunting package.

We offer 2 adult kayaks, 3 children's kayaks, 2 paddle boards, 3 canoes, and over 16 rowboats!

Unfortunately, kayak or other boat rentals are not available for day visitors (site access without accommodation). However, if you're part of a group renting a cabin and you’re not into hunting or fishing, you’re welcome to use the kayaks and paddle boards for free!

Lakes and Rivers to Discover

On the POURVOIRIE HOMAMO territory (a total of 129 km²), there are 45 lakes (pure, wild, and full of fish) and 3 beautiful rivers nestled in a forest and mountain landscape. For fishing, 15 lakes are used, including Lac Itomamo, which covers 14 km². All around the territory, the wilderness is breathtakingly beautiful.

River Descent by Kayak or Canoe

Would you like to paddle down a stunning river surrounded by tall trees, either by canoe or kayak? The scenery along the Maria River is so impressive, it feels like being in a jungle! Available upon request, our River Descent & Wilderness Camping package (or with cabin accommodation) lets you explore a clear-water river that leads to the main lake. If you wish, you can also explore other rivers and lakes across the outfitter’s territory. Contact us for more details about this package.

Ponton Boat Ride

Not into fishing, kayaking, or paddle boarding but still want to enjoy a safe and pleasant ride on the water? We offer pontoon boat rides on the lake for groups of 8 to 10 people.

We typically depart after dinner to take in the evening breeze and the sunset! These pontoon rides let you admire the landscape and spot wildlife along the way. You might see beavers and curious moose peeking out!
