Pourvoirie Homamo

Hunter Code of Conduct

To maintain the quality of both the hunting experience and your stay, it is important to carefully read and follow the rules below. Respect and courtesy are values we hold in high regard.

Each guest is responsible for:

  • The ATV they use.
  • Their boat’s propeller, lower unit, and motor.
  • Leaving the boat clean and in good condition at the end of the stay (a $20 fee will apply if necessary).
  • IMPORTANT: Respecting the discharge boundaries of the Rivière aux Sables – never go beyond the limits marked by yellow buoys and signs.
  • Following the safety rules presented by the management of Pourvoirie Homamo. If staying in a remote cabin, you must check in once a day with the radio at the main lodge.
  • Smoking only in designated areas. Pourvoirie Homamo is a smoke-free environment and all cabins are non-smoking.
  • VERY IMPORTANT: It is strictly forbidden to go past the sign or marker near the Rivière aux Sables bridge.
  • Each hunter is assigned a specific territory. It is your responsibility to know its boundaries and to hunt only within your designated area.
  • It is forbidden to harvest a moose outside your assigned zone.
  • ***Special exception * Fortin Sector*: You may only harvest a moose seen on the road while en route to your hunting area.
  • Your hunt ends the moment a shot is fired.
  • A blood-tracking dog is mandatory—whether or not there is visible blood.
  • The dog handler will determine whether the search will be accompanied or not.
  • IMPORTANT: Your hunt is considered over until we confirm whether or not the moose is deceased.

End of stay:

  • Departure is between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. No hunting is permitted on the morning of departure.
  • If a vehicle or boat was provided to you, please remember to fill the fuel tank before leaving.
  • We invite you to review all outfitter regulations. Please note that failure to comply may result in expulsion without refund.
  • One shot fired means the hunt is over.
